Concrete Estimator
Job Summary
GMG Preconstruction and Estimating team are looking to add an Estimator to our Houston, TX office. The Estimator’s position establishes the fundamental principles for an individual’s growth and success within GMG Preconstruction career path. The Estimator will participate in all aspects of the bid/estimating process, including but not limited to – review of plans and specs, soliciting and negotiating prices with clients/suppliers, quantity take-off, pricing, scoping and bidding of construction process. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with GMG internal teams as well as external suppliers, owners, architects and engineers.

Project Manager
Job Summary
A project manager s role is to effectively lead the successful completion of the project on time and within budget. The project manager shall work with the balance of the project team to effectively deliver the project to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
-
Complete understanding of the Contract Documents.

Create and maintain all project logs (Procurement, Submittal, Change Proposals, etc.)

Develop and Maintain the project schedule utilizing P6 software platform.

RFI & Submittal Management
-
Manage changes to project scope, schedule and budget.

Efficiently conduct all project meetings in a professional manner including development and distribution of minutes.

Project Finance Management (Job Cost, Invoicing, etc.) •

Project Close Out

Coordinate project personnel activities to ensure project remains on schedule.

Provide technical assistant (interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods, etc) as needed.

Accountant
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate for this position will have 5 years of experience working in an accounting firm. Experience working with QuickBooks Online and Desktop is required. However, while construction and manufacturing accounting experience is strongly preferred, it is not required. We are willing to invest in training the right candidate.

Primary Responsibilities

Examine drawings and specifications for various work tasks and ensure current information is passed down to front line supervisors.

Track project schedule and cost reports.

Schedule crews according to available work packages for the project and all required equipment and material necessary to complete the task.

Plan the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.

Conduct regular inspections of craft work and quality as well as insure installation in per specification.

Monitor timely delivery of necessary materials and schedule necessary equipment to assure continued productivity.

Conduct regular safety meetings with craft employees addressing specific work areas and conditions that require attention stressing compliance with company and regulatory safety procedures.

Coordinate with engineers, client/owner, inspectors, etc. to isolate problems regarding projects mechanical equipment and assists in developing solutions to these problems, as directed by supervision

Dispatcher
Job Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating activities of employees engaged in delivering products.
Job Responsibilities

Confers with yard personnel to establish delivery schedules according to factors such as truck capacities, distances to delivery site, and unloading times

Confers with customer services representative regarding scheduled times for customer deliveries
-
Generates invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents
-
Assigns drivers for scheduled deliveries of concrete products
-
Generates reports of cash and charge sales
-
Strives to meet customer expectations without exception and achieve highly positive customer satisfaction survey results consistent with strategic objectives

Jointly coordinates with operations to resolve problems and improve quality of service

Develops working relationships with internal customers in order to ensure customer needs are addressed

Job Summary
Under the supervision of a superintendent or foreman, the carpenter's duties will include constructing, erecting, stripping, and/or repairing structures of steel, wood or plywood using carpenter's hand and power tools conforming to construction documents.
